10 University Freshers Realisations

Going to university and being a 'fresher' holds such a perception of eating bad, being a slob, getting recklessly drunk etc etc...and yes, this has being the case. However i have also realised alot during my first semester of university; as a fresher.

One. Theses only so long you can live on oven chicken, noodles and cereal. Word of advise dont buy 20 packets of noodles just because...

Two. You dont have to be out every night to have 'fun'. Staying in with flat mates can become the best nights of first year, although missing out can be a terrible feeling.

Three. You WILL need your flat mates, whether you go running to them second day in because you think you've locked yourself out or because your homesick, they become part of your coping mechanism.

Four. If your like me, your chair will gain wardrobe statue 2 days into uni.

Five. You feel homesick when at uni, but homesick while your at home.

Six. Getting that 1st or 1:2 during first semester shows you can still go out and study hard, yippe!!

Seven. Joining a society is a must for them quirky socials and people who you would of never of met during your time at uni.

Eight. You can meet important people during freshers week, who actually make an impact on you experience.

Nine. Being skint is shit. Even worse if you work every day, and live in the poorest accommodation, yes.

Ten. Enjoy the nights of staying in, in your pj's, watching films and saving money.
